Dear Jabir
It was horrifying to read your articles about Al-Wathba in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
It was selfish and arrogant on the part of the UAE courts. I'm from UAE
and I've heard of similar stories in the Gulf.
Its now been exactly 10 years since you returned to India. I've also
read the court rulings, deportation order, etc. Considering the fact
that you aren't from Bombay, why did was the destination in deportation
order the Bombay and not Kerala?
I have also read letters/petitions to the Indian govt and UAE ruler.
Have there been any outcomes of these until now? Are you allowed to
return to Abu Dhabi to meet with the current ruler, Sh. Khalifa, who has
now taken over after Sh. Zayed's death? Or were you allowed to claim UAE
nationality back in the 1970's, when you shifted to UAE, such that you
wouldn't have to return to India?
I really do pray that the 1st world and Asian countries recognizes Human
Rights violations in the Gulf and that they really do something to end
this injustice.
Please try to send this website to different other human rights groups,
so that they may be able to do workout something.
Thankyou for your time.
Regards,
Preetham D'sa
